Q: Why does Dynamic Research not accept certain engagements?
We handle all service inquiries seriously, though regrettably not some projects we are not able to execute. Reasons may vary. Some projects exceed the scope and/or expertise that Dynamic Research could execute. Some projects may pose a higher security risk. Some potential projects may have conflict with our current engagements. When we are not able to accept an engagement, we will make prompt communication and be transparent so that our client can seek other alternatives immediately.
Q: Are all reports prepared in English?
Reports can be available in English or Chinese, but not both. Extra fees apply if requiring reports in both languages. In addition, for extra fees, Dynamic Research can provide Japanese and Korean reports.
Q: What is the typical process of a project
Dynamic Research follows these steps:
- Evaluate the feasibility of a potential project after inquiries are received
- Provide quotation based on client’s needs and scope of work
- Review all start-up information provided in Dynamic Research to formulate a complete work plan
- Execute research and intelligence collection work, conduct analysis
- Prepare a report detailing available findings
- Dynamic Research responds to the parts of report that need to require clarification, if any
Q: Are the information provided by Dynamic Research reliable?
Dynamic Research pays much attention to establishing credibility to intelligence gathered. When we are able to confirm a piece of information from multiple channels and sources, we could usually be quite assured it is reliable. However, ambiguity and lack of sources to confirm a piece of information are not uncommon either. In those situations, we will consider the circumstantial facts as well as the reasonableness of the information received. A judgment call is likely to be required, and we will present all facts to the client to be in the best position to make a sound judgment call.
If certain information is unavailable, we would explain the situation and reasoning to the client.
Q: Is it possible to view a sample report?
Sample reports are only provided to potential clients with reputable profiles and are compatible with the service we are offering.
Q: What is the pricing of each service? Why each quotation is different?
Project pricing is determined by the unique requirements of each project, hence long term fixed pricing is typically not available (except for standardized projects for KYC, simply employee screening, and simple 3rd party screening). Any estimate of resources, time, and budget required for a project could only be possible if a client is able to provide sufficient context about each unique issue.
Q: Is a fee deposit required prior to start of project? When should full payment be made?
Yes. To ensure smooth operation during the project, Dynamic Research requests that 40% of the fee quote, or, when applicable, an agreed fixed amount, is settled before the launch of a project.
Full payment shall be made within 30 business days after the completion of a project. We provide invoice for each project.
Q: How important is hiring a counsel to handle “special situations”?
Because circumstances surrounding special situations are typically unpredictable. We always recommend our clients being represented by a counsel before contacting us, so that all discussions and work can be conducted under attorney-client privilege.
